E finalmente arriva a Napoli. Il progetto di Caterina Arciprete che sin dall’inizio ha ricevuto l’appoggio della galleria Artsight di Stoccolma. Dopo le tappe in Svezia, Roma, Ginevra la città dell’artista accoglie il collettivo di donne Art for women today con un festival diffuso nel circuito Obvia extra Mann. In luoghi di grande fascino: il Museo del Tesoro di San Gennaro, la Chiesa e Museo di San Giuseppe dei Nudi, Pianoterra ETS, il Museo Civico Gaetano Filangieri, NINA Art Gallery Open Space, la Chiesa Museo di Santa Luciella ai Librai, il Complesso Monumentale Sant’Anna dei Lombardi, il Museo Archivio Storico Banco di Napoli e il Complesso Monumentale Purgatorio ad Arco.
Dal 7 al 23 novembre, mostre, presentazioni di progetti editoriali d’arte, performance, musica, danza e dibattiti dedicati al complesso mondo femminile, nella sua (equilibrate) imperfezioni, nelle sua capacità di accogliere emozioni e curare le fragilità attraverso il processo creativo. E infatti il ricavato dalla vendita di opere in edizioni limitate sarà destinato alle donne vulnerabili sostenute da Pianoterra Ets e Arcidonna centro antiviolenza.
Si comincia, dunque, venerdì 7, al museo del tesoro di san Gennaro dove all’inaugurazione delle 18 verrà presentato il calendario 2026 con le opere originali delle artiste che lo hanno prodotto ( e che saranno esposte fino al 23 novembre): Caterina Arciprete, Elena Belobragina, Chiara Coccorese, Isabelle De Boulloche, Gisela Quinteros, Linda Kunik, Virginia Maria Romero, Sylvie Wozniak, Erminia Mitrano, Yemisi Wilson, Daniela Pergreffi, Patrizia Breitenstein con la poeta Lan Xu. Il calednario è ispirato da 12 parole: speranza, fede, generosità, giustizia,
pazienza, resilienza, fragilità, forza, tenacia, libertà, coraggio, amore.
Ma l’occasione per approfondire la conoscenza dell’intero progetto verrà offerta il giorno successivo, l’8, in un confronto con le protagoniste a San Giuseppe dei nudi, dove, nel museo esporranno le loro cartoline (fino al 3 gennaio).
Da non perdere, il 18 l’appuntamento (Museo Archivio Storico Banco di Napoli in Via dei Tribunali 214, ore 17.39) con Caterina Arciprete per tuffarvi nel suo libro illustrato (edito da Apeiron) Nei passi, nel silenzio bianco. L’autrice descrive una figura femminile contemporanea che con le sue riflessioni, incertezze, forze, cammina per la città toccando proprio i luoghi partenopei del festival .
Spazio agli studenti, al collettivo del polo delle Arti Caselli-Palizzi Palizzi e anche a quello dell’Accademia di belle arti di Napoli. Sarà una celebrazione della creatività dove il punto di partenza è la condivisione della bellezza identitaria: ciò che conta è il confronto, la partecipazione, il pensiero. Con lo sguardo rivolto a un futuro consapevole che ponga al centro la persona nel mondo, oltre prevaricazioni e abusi.

International Festival/ The ‘Art for Women Today’ project arrives in Naples: women walking in the contemporary world. The future of a creative identity ( from the 7th to the 21st of November)
And finally it arrives in Naples. Caterina Arciprete’s project, which has received the support of the Artsight gallery in Stockholm from the outset. After stops in Sweden, Rome and Geneva, the artist’s city welcomes the Art for Women Today collective with a festival spread across the Obvia extra Mann circuit. In places of great charm: the Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro, the Church and Museum of San Giuseppe dei Nudi, Pianoterra ETS, the Gaetano Filangieri Civic Museum, NINA Art Gallery Open Space, the Church Museum of Santa Luciella ai Librai, the Sant’Anna dei Lombardi Monumental Complex, the Banco di Napoli Historical Archive Museum and the Purgatorio ad Arco Monumental Complex.
From the 7th to the 21rst of November, exhibitions, presentations of art publishing projects, performances, music, dance and debates dedicated to the complex world of women, in its (balanced) imperfections, in its ability to welcome emotions and heal fragility through the creative process. In fact, the proceeds from the sale of limited edition works will go to vulnerable women supported by Pianoterra Ets and Arcidonna anti-violence centre.
It all begins on Friday 7th at the Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro, where the 2026 calendar will be presented at the 6pm inauguration, featuring the original works of the artists who created it (which will be on display until 23rd November): Caterina Arciprete, Elena Belobragina, Chiara Coccorese, Isabelle De Boulloche, Gisela Quinteros, Linda Kunik, Virginia Maria Romero, Sylvie Wozniak, Erminia Mitrano, Yemisi Wilson, Daniela Pergreffi, Patrizia Breitenstein with the poet Lan Xu. The calendar is inspired by 12 words: hope, faith, generosity, justice, patience, resilience, fragility, strength, tenacity, freedom, courage, love.
But the opportunity to learn more about the entire project will be offered the following day, the 8th, in a discussion with the protagonists at San Giuseppe dei Nudi, where they will exhibit their postcards in the museum (until 3 January).
Don’t miss the event on the 18th (Museo Archivio Storico Banco di Napoli in Via dei Tribunali 214, at 5.39 p.m.) with Caterina Arciprete to immerse yourself in her illustrated book (published by Apeiron) Nei passi, nel silenzio bianco (In the footsteps, in the white silence). The author describes a contemporary female figure who, with her reflections, uncertainties and strengths, walks through the city, touching on the Neapolitan locations of the festival.
There will be space for students, the Caselli-Palizzi Palizzi Arts Centre collective and the Naples Academy of Fine Arts. It will be a celebration of creativity where the starting point is the sharing of identity-based beauty: what matters is discussion, participation and thought. With an eye to a conscious future that places the individual at the centre of the world, beyond oppression and abuse.
