Due appuntamenti con il principe Raimondo di Sangro. Lunedì 19 gennaio, sarà possibile visitare il Museo a un costo ridotto e, eccezionalmente, scattare fotografie, mentre nel fine settimana dal 30 gennaio al 1° febbraio i visitatori potranno partecipare alle visite guidate tematiche per festeggiare il compleanno del principe Raimondo di Sangro, genio poliedrico dall’insaziabile curiosità.
Il Museo Cappella Sansevero ha scelto di trasformare il terzo lunedì di gennaio, definito come il giorno più “triste” dell’anno, in un momento speciale. Per un solo giorno visitatori potranno partecipare al Blue Monday Sansevero ed entrare al Museo con un biglietto di ingresso ridotto a 9 euro, invece che a 12 euro,e in via del tutto eccezionale scattare foto solo con il proprio smartphone – normalmente non consentite durante i regolari orari di apertura al pubblico – alle opere: dal Cristo velato alle straordinarie creazioni che animano l’universo del principe di Sansevero. Per entrare, però, occorre scegliere la fila singoli.
Venerdì 30 gennaio, sabato 31 gennaio e domenica 1° febbraio tre giorni di visite guidate speciali (durano 30 minuti e sono in italiano) condotte dallo staff dei servizi educativi del Museo, per festeggiare il compleanno di Raimondo di Sangro (30 gennaio 1710).
Un tour attraverso la storia della Cappella, le sue meraviglie e la vita del principe di Sansevero, in cui si racconteranno aneddoti e curiosità sull’inventore, letterato, mecenate, cultore del libero pensiero e delle scienze, sperimentatore, primo Gran Maestro della Massoneria napoletana, originale interprete dei fermenti innovatori della Napoli settecentesca.

Sansevero Chapel/ Walking with Raimondo di Sangro: it’s Blue Monday for the public, who will be allowed to take photos
Two dates with Prince Raimondo di Sangro. On Monday the 19th of January, visitors will be allowed to visit the Museum at a reduced cost and, exceptionally, take photographs, while over the weekend from the 30th of January to the 1st of February, they can take part in themed guided tours to celebrate the birthday of Prince Raimondo di Sangro, a multifaceted genius with insatiable curiosity.
The Sansevero Chapel Museum has decided to transform the third Monday in January, considered the ‘saddest’ day of the year, into a special occasion. For one day only, visitors can take part in Blue Monday Sansevero and enter the Museum with a reduced admission ticket of 9 euros instead of 12 euros. As a special exception, they will be allowed to take photos of the works only with their smartphones, which is not normally permitted during regular opening hours. These works range from the Veiled Christ to the extraordinary creations that animate the universe of the Prince of Sansevero. To enter, however, you must choose the single admission line.
On Friday the 30th, Saturday the 31st, and Sunday the 1st of February, there will be three days of special guided tours (lasting 30 minutes and in Italian) led by the Museum’s educational services staff to celebrate Raimondo di Sangro’s birthday (30th January 1710).
A tour through the history of the Chapel, its wonders and the life of the Prince of Sansevero, in which anecdotes and curiosities about the inventor, man of letters, patron, lover of free thought and science, experimenter, first Grand Master of Neapolitan Freemasonry, and original interpreter of the innovative ferment of 18th-century Naples will be revealed.
