Quattro appuntamenti speciali al Museo di San Gennaro. “Un tesoro di serata” è il nuovo calendario di aperture straordinarie e visite guidate serali proposto durante l’orario di chiusura, alla scoperta dei gioielli del Santo Patrono, della Real Cappella e delle opere della mostra “Il colore di Mimmo Jodice”, allestita nelle sale all’interno nel Duomo di Napoli. Al termine del percorso sarà offerto un aperitivo nel suggestivo cortile del Tesoro di San Gennaro.
Si parte venerdì 25 settembre alle 19.30 con la visita guidata esclusiva a porte chiuse, e si replicherà con un appuntamento ogni mese, fino a dicembre (23 ottobre, 20 novembre, 4 dicembre, ore 19.30). I posti sono limitati e la prenotazione è obbligatoria sul sito tesorosangennaro.it.
Un viaggio nel tempo dove si potranno ammirare i doni, una collezione di inestimabile valore storico, artistico e devozionale, la mitra e la collana di San Gennaro, capolavori di oreficeria che raccontano il legame profondo tra il Santo Patrono e i suoi fedeli,la Real Cappella in cui sono custodite le reliquie del Santo e le adiacenti magnifiche Sacrestie.
Sarà un’occasione anche per ammirare l’omaggio a uno dei più grandi protagonisti della fotografia contemporanea. “Il colore di Mimmo Jodice”, mostra prodotta e organizzata da D’Uva srl in collaborazione con Mimmo Jodice Studio, a cura di Sylvain Bellenger.
Esposto fino al 10 gennaio 2027 l’unico progetto a colori di Jodice, un corpus raro e in parte inedito di opere dedicato ai capolavori pittorici del Seicento napoletano. Oltre quaranta le innagini in mostra, alcune mai esposte prima, dal forte valore simbolico, distribuite lungo l’intero percorso del Museo del Tesoro di San Gennaro, dalle sale del Tesoro alle Sacrestie, con un allestimento che mette in dialogo fotografia, pittura e opere del museo.
Il Museo del Tesoro di San Gennaro, inoltre, amplia gli orari di visita dal venerdì alla domenica fino alle ore 19, per permettere ai visitatori, nel fine settimana, di avere più tempo per scoprire uno dei patrimoni d’arte più straordinari al mondo.

San Gennaro Museum / An evening’s treasure: discovering jewellery amidst the colours of Mimmo Jodice. Four special events
Four special events at the Museum of San Gennaro. “An Evening Treasure” is the new programme of special openings and evening guided tours taking place after closing time, offering visitors the chance to discover the patron saint’s jewels, the Royal Chapel and the works in the exhibition “The Colour of Mimmo Jodice”, on display in the inner halls of Naples Cathedral. At the end of the tour, an aperitif will be served in the charming courtyard of the Treasury of San Gennaro.
It begins on Friday the 25th of September at 7.30 pm with an exclusive guided tour behind closed doors, and will be repeated with one event each month until December (23 October, the 20th of November, the 4th of December, at 7.30 pm). Places are limited and booking is compulsory via the website tesorosangennaro.it.
A journey through time where visitors can admire the gifts – a collection of inestimable historical, artistic and devotional value – including the mitre and necklace of Saint Januarius, masterpieces of goldsmithing that illustrate the deep bond between the patron saint and his faithful, the Royal Chapel where the saint’s relics are kept, and the magnificent adjacent sacristies.
It will also be an opportunity to admire a tribute to one of the greatest figures in contemporary photography. ‘Il colore di Mimmo Jodice’ (The Colour of Mimmo Jodice), an exhibition produced and organised by D’Uva srl in collaboration with Mimmo Jodice Studio, curated by Sylvain Bellenger.
On display until the 10th of January 2027 is Jodice’s only colour project, a rare and partly unpublished collection of works dedicated to the pictorial masterpieces of 17th-century Naples. Over forty images are on display, some never shown before, all of great symbolic value, spread throughout the entire Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro, from the Treasure Chambers to the Sacristies, in an exhibition that brings together photography, painting and the museum’s own collection.
Furthermore, the Museo del Tesoro di San Gennaro is extending its opening hours from Friday to Sunday until 7.00 pm, to allow visitors more time at the weekend to discover one of the world’s most extraordinary artistic heritages.
