Una mostra fotografica esclusiva quella proposta nella rassegna “Entrée” curata da Carla Viparelli per la Fondazione Banco Napoli in via Tribunali 213, al secondo piano di Palazzo Ricca. “Vicine 33” (foto) è il titolo dell’esposizione che presenta le immagini di Iole Capasso dedicate alle Clarisse Capuccine (conosciute come le Trentatré) del Monastero di Via Pisanelli. Inaugurazione martedì 10 giugno, alle 18 (fino al 10 luglio).
L’iniziativa Entrée (ovvero assaggi d’arte) punta a dare visibilità a giovani talenti emergenti. Nel 2012 Iole Capasso va ad abitare in via Pisanelli, proprio di fronte alle stanze del Monastero. Da semplice dirimpettaia, diventa a poco a poco una persona di fiducia, che le monache accolgono tra loro, acconsentendole a più riprese, di fotografare luoghi e momenti della vita claustrale.
Uno sguardo privilegiato e discreto: «La preparazione della mostra 33 è cominciata già da qualche anno – spiega la curatrice – infatti ogni tanto Iole sentiva il bisogno di aggiungere una o più foto, di effettuare qualche altro incontro. E per fare questo si è adeguata ai tempi della vita in Monastero, quelli quotidiani e quelli rituali, con delicatezza. La stessa delicatezza ha contraddistinto il lavoro curatoriale, che abbiamo svolto insieme: innanzi tutto abbiamo effettuato la selezione delle foto scelte per mantenere tutta la discrezione possibile; poi abbiamo cercato di dare alla mostra, più che una asetticità tecnica, il senso della delicata fermezza del dischiudere».
Giovedì 26 giugno alle 18 in Fondazione è in programma anche “l’artisti talk”, il momento di confronto tra pubblico, artista e curatrice.

The ‘Entrée’ initiative, curated by Carla Viparelli for the Fondazione Banco Napoli, presents an exclusive photographic exhibition on the second floor of Palazzo Ricca in Via Tribunali 213. Entitled ‘Vicine 33’, the exhibition features images by Iole Capasso dedicated to the Capuchin poor Clares (also known as the Thirty-three) of the Monastery of Via Pisanelli. The exhibition opens on Tuesday the 10th of June at 6 pm and runs until the 10th of July.
The Entrée initiative aims to give visibility to young emerging talents. In 2012, Iole Capasso moved to Via Pisanelli, right opposite the monastery. Gradually becoming a trusted person, the nuns welcomed her among them and allowed her to photograph cloistered life on several occasions.
This is a privileged and discreet insight: ‘The preparation of the 33 exhibition began a few years ago,’ explains the curator. ‘In fact, Iole periodically felt the need to add one or two more photos and capture a few more moments. To do this, she adapted to the rhythms of life in the monastery, both daily and ritual, with great sensitivity. This same delicacy characterised the curatorial work we carried out together. First, we selected the photos to maintain discretion, and then we tried to give the exhibition a sense of delicate stillness rather than technical asepticity”.
The ‘artist talk’, a discussion between the public, the artist and the curator, is also scheduled for Thursday the 26th of June at 6 p.m. in the Foundation.
