Capodimonte di Fuoco per il Maggio dei monumenti. Anche il Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte aderisce alla rassegna del Comune che quest’anno propone il tema “Napoli, cuore ardente, mente illuminata”.
La struttura museale diretta da Eike Schmidt presenta tre percorsi dedicati a oggetti e dipinti delle collezioni museali con protagonista il fuoco nelle sue diverse forme.
Dalle porcellane della Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte e di Napoli nate all’insegna del fuoco con la “Caduta dei Giganti” saettati da Zeus , ai metalli e alle sculture delle collezioni; dal mito di Prometeo, il titano ribelle che rubò il fuoco per donarlo agli uomini, ai miti greci raffigurati nei capolavori del Museo, fino al percorso tematico “Napoli , il pittoresco, il Vesuvio e il rapporto con il fuoco”. Un viaggio unico, alla scoperta di un elemento distintivo del capoluogo partenopeo.
Opera simbolo dell’iniziativa è il celebre olio su tela di Pierre Jaques Volaire (Tolone 1729- Napoli 1799) Eruzione del Vesuvio dal ponte della Maddalena (1782, foto), che si può ammirare esposta al primo piano in sala 29 . Si parte sabato 3 maggio alle 10 con il percorso tematico rivolto a famiglie e adulti e ai visitatori ciechi e ipovedenti dal titolo: “Capodimonte di fuoco: dalle porcellane delle manifatture reali ai metalli e ai bronzi delle collezioni museali”. L’appuntamento è nell’ufficio accoglienza e valorizzazione (in biglietteria) alle 09,45. Lo stesso percorso, verrà riproposto il 24 e il 31 maggio.
Il 10 maggio alle 11 protagonisti saranno invece i bambini di età compresa tra i 7 e gli 11 anni con “Il fuoco e i miti greci nei capolavori del Museo di Capodimonte”. L’appuntamento è presso l’ufficio Accoglienza e Valorizzazione (in Biglietteria) alle 10,45. Sabato 10 maggio ore 11.00
Sabato 17 maggio sarà la volta di “Napoli, il pittoresco, il fuoco e il Vesuvio nei capolavori del Museo di Capodimonte”, un percorso rivolto alle famiglie e agli adulti che partirà alle ore 11,00 con appuntamento alle 10,45 sempre presso l’Ufficio accoglienza e valorizzazione.

May of Monuments/Capodimonte of Fire among porcelain and paintings: the museum is divided into 3 for children and adults
Capodimonte of fire for the May of the monuments. The Capodimonte Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte also participates in the Municipality’s review, which this year offers the theme “Naples, burning heart, enlightened mind”.
The museum structure, directed by Eike Schmidt, presents three itineraries dedicated to objects and paintings from the museum’s collections, with fire as the protagonist in its various forms.
From the porcelain of the Royal Factory of Capodimonte and Naples, born under the banner of fire with the “Fall of the Giants”, plundered by Zeus, to the metals and sculptures of the collections; from the myth of Prometheus, the rebellious titan who stole fire to give it to men, to the Greek myths depicted in the museum’s masterpieces, to the thematic path “Naples, the Picturesque, Vesuvius and the relationship with fire”. A unique journey to discover a distinctive element of the Neapolitan capital.
The symbolic work of the initiative is the famous oil on canvas by Pierre Jaques Volaire (Toulon 1729 – Naples 1799) Eruption of Vesuvius from the Magdalene Bridge (1782, photo), which can be seen on the second floor in room 29. On Saturday, May the 3rd, at 10 a.m., there will be a thematic tour for families and adults, as well as blind and visually impaired visitors, entitled “Capodimonte of fire: from the porcelain of the royal manufactories to the metals and bronzes of the museum collections”. The appointment is at the reception and enhancement office (in the ticket office) at 09.45 a.m. The same tour, will be repeated on May the 24th and 31st.
Instead, on May the 10th at 11 a.m. protagonists will be children between the ages of 7 and 11 with “Fire and Greek Myths in the Masterpieces of the Capodimonte Museum.” The appointment is at the Reception and Enhancement Office (in the Ticket Office) at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 11 a.m.
Saturday, May the 17th will be the turn of “Naples, the Picturesque, Fire and Vesuvius in the Masterpieces of the Capodimonte Museum,” a tour aimed at families and adults that will start at 11 a.m. with an appointment at 10:45 a.m. also at the Reception and Enhancement Office.
