Italian art tour Sorrento. Un manifestazione che ha messo insieme talenti da tutto il mondo in una residenza che si conclude nella bellissima cittadina con le stanze d’artista venerdì 13 maggio, all’Hotel Gran Paradiso di via Catigliano, 9. Dalle 17, 30.
Protagonisti sono otto artisti di quattro nazioni: Wattanachot Tungateja, Isara Veeranoi, Jacqueline Bonacic-Doric Rodriguez, Khanita Tungateja, Marianna Sannino, Natthapol Suwankusolsong, Sanjaya Senavirathna, Pornsawan Nonthapha. che vengono da Thailandia, Spagna, Sri Lanka, Italia. La curatrice è l’artista napoletana Carla Viparelli e la residenza è cominciata il 7 marzo.
A ognuno/a di loro è stata affidata una stanza dell’Art Hotel Gran Paradiso in cui progettare un’installazione permanente che realizzata nel corso della settimana. I progetti sono stati stata elaborati sulla base della logistica e delle caratteristiche in pianta delle varie stanze. Le installazioni comprendono opere di scultura in materiali vari (terracotta, tulle, plexiglass, materiali tessili, alluminio) e pittura (tradizione dell’indaco e colori acrilici).
Nel frattempo potrete visitare il workshop dalle 10 alle 17. Prima di immergervi nel gran finale, contemplando le camere arredate dalla loro creatività.

Sorrento/ Eight artists for an idea of in a room: this is how the Gran Paradiso hotel is decorating itself with art
Italian art tour Sorrento. An event that brought together talents from all over the world in a residency that concludes in the beautiful town with the artists’ rooms on Friday the 13th of March, at the Hotel Gran Paradiso in Via Catigliano, 9. From 5:30 p.m.
The protagonists are eight artists from four countries: Wattanachot Tungateja, Isara Veeranoi, Jacqueline Bonacic-Doric Rodriguez, Khanita Tungateja, Marianna Sannino, Natthapol Suwankusolsong, Sanjaya Senavirathna, and Pornsawan Nonthapha, who come from Thailand, Spain, Sri Lanka, and Italy. The curator is Neapolitan artist Carla Viparelli, and the residency began on the 7th of March.
Each artist has been given a room at the Art Hotel Gran Paradiso in which to design a permanent installation, which has been created over the course of the week. The projects have been developed based on the logistics and layout of the various rooms. The installations include sculptures in various materials (terracotta, tulle, plexiglass, textiles, aluminium) and paintings (traditional indigo and acrylic colours).
In the meantime, you can visit the workshop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Before immersing yourself in the grand finale, contemplate the rooms furnished with their creativity.
