A Palazzo Ricca riprende a nuotare l’arte contemporanea anche in questo inizio 2026. Nella sede della Fondazione Banco di Napoli, in via dei Tribunali 213, Antonello Tagliafierro, artista di Caserta (dove vive e lavora) presenta la mostra Remare.
Giovedì 15 gennaio alle 18 nelle sale al secondo piano, inaugura l’esposizione dell’artista casertano che rientra nella programmazione della rassegna di arte contemporanea “Entrée”, curata da Carla Viparelli. Fino al 20 marzo.
Una serie di 29 opere pittoriche realizzate prevalentemente in tecnica mista su tela(foto) appartenenti a vari periodi creativi dell’artista. Si spazia dal 1991-1992, con due opere dedicate ai grandi del passato (Giotto e Simone Martini), fino agli ultimi anni, 2021-2022.
Un arco temporale di trent’anni è rappresentato in questa ricerca visiva attuale e innovativa, caratterizzata da una lucidità concettuale che, unita alla tecnica, rende ogni opera un punto di arrivo e ripartenza.
Spiega la curatrice: «La prima volta che ho visto un’opera di Tagliafierro – è stato all’Expó di Bari alla fine degli anni Ottanta. La ricordo come se fosse ieri, “Have you seen my shoes” (un paio di scarpe da ginnastica), dove era rappresenta non tanto la riconoscibilità oggettuale, quanto la dinamica scomposizione in tante pennellate cinetiche, allegoria non solo del procedimento creativo, analitico e istintivo al tempo stesso, ma anche della funzionalità motoria dell’oggetto».
Tra gli elementi del suo lavoro, la scrittura, tracciata sulla tela gestualmente e istintivamente: il senso è nel segno e non necessariamente nel significato. Pronta a divenire poesia.

Contemporary art returns to Palazzo Ricca at the beginning of 2026. At the Palazzo Ricca, headquarters of the Fondazione Banco di Napoli, located in Via dei Tribunali 213, Antonello Tagliafierro, an artist from Caserta (where he lives and works), presents his exhibition Remare (Rowing).
On Thursday the 15th of January at 6 p.m. in the rooms on the second floor, the exhibition by the artist from Caserta will open as part of the contemporary art exhibition “Entrée”, curated by Carla Viparelli. Until the 20th of March.
A series of 29 paintings, mainly created using mixed media on canvas, belonging to various creative periods of the artist. They range from 1991-1992, with two works dedicated to the masters of the past (Giotto and Simone Martini), until the last few years, 2021-2022.
A thirty-year time period is represented in this current and innovative visual research, characterised by a conceptual lucidity which, combined with technique, makes each work a point of arrival and departure.
The curator explains: ‘The first time I saw a work by Tagliafierro was at the Expó in Bari in the late 1980s. I remember it as if it were yesterday, “Have you seen my shoes” (a pair of trainers), where what was represented was not so much the recognisability of the object as its dynamic decomposition into many kinetic brushstrokes, an allegory not only of the creative process, analytical and instinctive at the same time, but also of the motor functionality of the object’.
Among the elements of his work is writing, traced onto the canvas gesturally and instinctively: the meaning lies in the mark and not necessarily in the meaning. Ready to become poetry.
