La meraviglia a portata di mano. E’ la visita tattile che Cappella Sansevero organizza martedì 17 marzo per non vedenti e ipovedenti. Che potranno esplorare e toccare con mano le opere principali del Museo, dal Cristo velato, fra i più suggestivi capolavori della scultura di tutti i tempi, ai bassorilievi della pudicizia e del disinganno.
Ingresso gratuito per l’iniziativa che propone un percorso di visita ponderato sulle esigenze specifiche dei partecipanti, con l’obiettivo di rendere sempre più accessibile il patrimonio storico-artistico del Museo.
Il pubblico sarà sarà accolto dallo staff dei servizi educativi con una descrizione introduttiva della Cappella Sansevero che parte dalla figura del principe Raimondo di Sangro, geniale ideatore del complesso monumentale.
In occasione della visita, per consentire di avvicinarsi alle opere, sarà rimossa la recinzione attorno al Cristo velato, e il pubblico, dotato di guanti di lattice, potrà toccare le trame marmoree dell’incredibile opera realizzata da Giuseppe Sanmartino, per poi proseguire, guidati sempre dagli accompagnatori, verso i bassorilievi posti ai piedi della Pudicizia e del Disinganno.
Al termine della visita tattile, gli ospiti riceveranno in sacrestia in omaggio una speciale guida in braille realizzata dal Museo Cappella Sansevero in collaborazione con l’Unione Italiana dei Ciechi e degli Ipovedenti.
La visita è organizzata in collaborazione con l’Unione Italiana dei Ciechi e degli Ipovedenti – ETS APS, Sezione territoriale di Napoli, e prevede l’ingresso su prenotazione al Museo dalle 9.00 alle 19.00 (ultimo ingresso alle ore 18.30).

Sansevero Chapel/ Wonder at your fingertips: tactile tour on the 17th of March. When you can touch a masterpiece
Wonder at your fingertips. Cappella Sansevero is organising a tactile tour on Tuesday the 17th of March for the blind and visually challenged. They will be able to explore and touch the museum’s main works, from the Veiled Christ, one of the most evocative masterpieces of sculpture of all time, to the bas-reliefs of Modesty and Disillusionment.
Admission is free for this initiative, which offers a tour tailored to the specific needs of participants, with the aim of making the museum’s historical and artistic heritage increasingly accessible.
The public will be welcomed by the educational services staff with an introductory description of the Sansevero Chapel, starting with Prince Raimondo di Sangro, the brilliant creator of the monumental complex.
During the visit, the fence surrounding the Veiled Christ will be removed to allow visitors to get closer to the works. Visitors will be provided with latex gloves so they can touch the marble textures of this incredible work by Giuseppe Sanmartino, before continuing, guided by their escorts, towards the bas-reliefs at the feet of Modesty and Disillusionment.
At the end of the tactile tour, guests will receive a free special Braille guide in the sacristy, produced by the Sansevero Chapel Museum in collaboration with the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired.
The tour is organised in collaboration with the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired – ETS APS, Naples branch, and requires booking in advance to enter the Museum between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (last admission at 6:30 p.m.).
