Non è facile accostarsi all’arte. Non sempre basta la passione per avvicinarsi a un museo o a un’istituzione artistica, ammirando la bellezza da vicino. Spesso occorre sentirne parlare per capire come entrare in quell’universo artistico e culturale.
La Fondazione napoletana Ezio De Felice, che ha sede nel suggestivo Palazzo Donn’Anna di Posillipo a picco sul mare, ha da tempo organizzato una rassegna concentrata proprio sul tema Narrare il patrimonio museale. E protagonista del 24° appuntamento dell’iniziativa sarà Chiara Parisi (foto di Philippe Levy), storica dell’arte e direttrice, dal 2019, del Centre Pompidou-Metz.
Di questo Museo senza fine parlerà giovedì 23 aprile 2026 alle 18 nella magnifica sede partenopea. Introduce Roberto Fedele per la Fondazione Ezio De Felice; conclude Angela Tecce, presidente della Fondazione Donnaregina per le arti contemporanee.
Fondato sulla collezione del Centre Pompidou – tra le più importanti al mondo per l’arte del XX secolo – il Centre Pompidou-Metz è oggi un laboratorio in cui il museo si definisce non solo come luogo di conservazione, ma come spazio di produzione culturale e di esperienza.
Al centro dell’incontro sarà l’idea di “museo senza fine”: un’istituzione che costruisce significati e prende posizione sul presente, dove anche le scelte espositive – come nella mostra Dimanche sans fin con Maurizio Cattelan – diventano strumenti critici attraverso cui leggere il tempo e il mondo.
Durante la conversazione verrà approfondito il ruolo del curatore come figura non neutrale, ma responsabile di uno sguardo e di una visione, così come quello del museo come spazio di formazione e confronto, attraverso esperienze come l’École du Centre Pompidou-Metz. Allo stesso tempo, il museo si estende oltre i propri confini fisici, dialogando con la città e con lo spazio pubblico e proponendosi come presenza attiva nella dimensione sociale.
Chiara Parisi si è formata all’Università La Sapienza di Roma, ha insegnato storia dell’arte e dell’architettura e ha ricoperto incarichi di rilievo internazionale, tra cui la direzione artistica della Monnaie de Paris (2011–2016) e la curatela di mostre all’Accademia di Francia a Roma – Villa Medici (2017–2019).

The Ezio De Felice Foundation / Chiara Parisi tells the story of the Centre Pompidou-Metz, an endless museum
It is not easy to approach art. Passion alone is not always enough to draw people into a museum or art institution to admire its beauty up close. Often, they need to hear about it first in order to understand how to enter that artistic and cultural world.
The Neapolitan Ezio De Felice Foundation, based in the picturesque Palazzo Donn’Anna in Posillipo overlooking the sea, has for some time been organising a series of events focused precisely on the theme of ‘Narrating Museum Heritage’. The star of the 24th event in the series will be Chiara Parisi, art historian and, since 2019, director of the Centre Pompidou-Metz.
She will speak about this ‘Endless Museum’ on Thursday the 23rd of April 2026 at 6 pm in the magnificent Neapolitan venue. Roberto Fedele will introduce the event on behalf of the Ezio De Felice Foundation; Angela Tecce, president of the Donnaregina Foundation for Contemporary Arts, will conclude.
Founded on the collection of the Centre Pompidou – one of the world’s most important collections of 20th-century art – the Centre Pompidou-Metz is today a laboratory in which the museum defines itself not only as a place of conservation, but as a space for cultural production and experience.
The focus of the discussion will be the concept of the ‘endless museum’: an institution that constructs meaning and takes a stance on the present, where even curatorial choices – as in the exhibition *Dimanche sans fin* with Maurizio Cattelan – become critical tools through which to interpret the times and the world.
During the conversation, the role of the curator as a figure who is not neutral but responsible for a particular perspective and vision will be explored, as will that of the museum as a space for education and dialogue, through experiences such as the École du Centre Pompidou-Metz. At the same time, the museum extends beyond its physical boundaries, engaging with the city and the public space and positioning itself as an active presence in the social sphere.
Chiara Parisi graduated from La Sapienza University in Rome, has taught art and architectural history, and has held positions of international renown, including artistic director of the Monnaie de Paris (2011–2016) and curator of exhibitions at the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici (2017–2019).
