“A corde spiegate”. Dal 26 settembre al 12 ottobre, torna la rassegna con un ciclo di tre concerti che intreccia raffinate esecuzioni, riscoperta del repertorio e valorizzazione del patrimonio acustico in contesti di grande suggestione.
Si parte venerdì 26 settembre, nella chiesa di Santa Caterina da Siena, alle ore 20.00, con “Ritratti d’arpe”: un viaggio tra Roma e Napoli alla riscoperta di uno strumento nuovamente inventato, con la voce del tenore Riccardo Pisani, le arpe doppie di Chiara Granata e Marta Graziolino dell’ensemble La Smisuranza, tra le più affermate interpreti dello strumento a livello internazionale.
Domenica 5 ottobre alle 19, sempre nella Chiesa di Santa Caterina da Siena, con “Bach Suites”, recital solistico del violoncellista Marcello Scandelli, che interpreterà alcune tra le più celebri e intime pagine del grande compositore tedesco.
Ultimo concerto domenica 12 ottobre, alle 19, nella medesima chiesa, con il concerto “Prima d’esservi infedele”, realizzato in occasione del trecentesimo anniversario della morte di Alessandro Scarlatti. Sarà un’opportunità unica per apprezzare la maestria del capostipite della Scuola Napoletana nella cantata da camera, che unisce musica domestica e teatralità operistica. Protagonisti saranno il soprano Valeria La Grotta e il Quartetto Vanvitelli, affiancato dalla violinista Lena Yokoyama.

“A corde spiegate” (Strings unbound). From the 26th of September to the 12th of October, the festival returns with a series of three concerts that combine refined performances, rediscovered repertoire and the promotion of acoustic heritage in highly evocative settings.
It begins on Friday the 26th of September, in the church of Santa Caterina da Siena, at 8:00 p.m., with ‘Ritratti d’arpe’ (Portraits of Harps): a journey between Rome and Naples to rediscover a newly invented instrument, with the voice of tenor Riccardo Pisani and the double harps of Chiara Granata and Marta Graziolino of the La Smisuranza ensemble, among the most acclaimed performers of the instrument internationally.
On Sunday the 5th of October at 7 p.m., again in the Church of Santa Caterina da Siena, with “Bach Suites”, a solo recital by cellist Marcello Scandelli, who will perform some of the most famous and intimate pieces by the great German composer.
The final concert will be on Sunday the 12th of October at 7 pm, in the same church, with the concert “Prima d’esservi infedele” (Before being unfaithful to you), held on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the death of Alessandro Scarlatti. It will be a unique opportunity to appreciate the mastery of the founder of the Neapolitan School in chamber cantatas, which combine domestic music and operatic theatricality. The protagonists will be soprano Valeria La Grotta and the Vanvitelli Quartet, accompanied by violinist Lena Yokoyama.
