Laboratori d’artista al museo Madre. Quattro appuntamenti gratuiti dedicati all’arte contemporanea, da maggio a settembre 2025, curati da giovani artisti e pensati su misura per bambini, ragazzi e adulti.
Si parte lunedì 5, martedì 6 e mercoledì 7 maggio (tutti i giorni dalle 16 alle 18) con il Laboratorio di scrittura poetica di Allison Grimaldi Donahue, dedicato ai ragazzi tra i 14 e i 18 anni. L’artista e scrittrice americana guiderà i giovani partecipanti in un percorso di esplorazione poetica, alternando momenti di lettura a esercizi di scrittura di poesie. Le opere d’arte esposte nel museo Madre diventeranno fonte di ispirazione per stimolare la creatività e sperimentare diversi stili e tecniche espressive. Attraverso attività individuali e di gruppo, i ragazzi impareranno a condividere i propri testi, ad ascoltare e commentare in modo costruttivo quelli degli altri, sviluppando così non solo la propria voce poetica ma anche la capacità di lettura critica.
Il laboratorio si concluderà con la realizzazione di un progetto collettivo: un “poster poetico”, frutto delle riflessioni e dei testi emersi durante il percorso, che ogni partecipante potrà portare con sé come ricordo dell’esperienza vissuta.
Alice Visentin il 21 e 22 giugno coinvolgerà bambine e bambini dai 6 ai 12 anni, invitandoli a esplorare la propria fantasia e creare mondi immaginari attraverso la pittura e l’uso di un proiettore. I partecipanti avranno a disposizione ampi cartonati su cui potranno dar vita a una “pitto-storia” della quale diventeranno, successivamente, protagonisti immergendosi negli scenari che loro stessi hanno dipinto e proiettato. Un’esperienza collettiva e immersiva che unirà creatività e gioco.
Toccherà a Marco Pio Pucci il 2, 3 e 4 luglio condurre un laboratorio pensato per ragazze e ragazzi tra i 10 e i 15 anni, che avrà come focus il disegno e la rappresentazione della città di Napoli nell’arte contemporanea. Dopo una visita guidata al Madre, in cui l’artista condurrà i partecipanti alla scoperta delle opere della collezione, ci si eserciterà nel disegno su carta e successivamente su tessuto, per realizzare magliette idealmente destinate a diventare le divise ufficiali del SSC Napoli.
Ultimo appuntamento a settembre con i Laboratori d’artista sarà aperto a tutte le età, e avrà come protagonista Derek MF Di Fabio, artista contemporaneo che spazia tra arte visiva e performance, che guiderà i partecipanti nella realizzazione di maschere e pupazzi creati con materiali riciclati e a basso impatto ecologico. I lavori realizzati sfileranno in una parata per le vie della città in un evento pubblico conclusivo.

Madre Museum/Artists’ workshops: 4 free sessions for all ages, from poetic writing to drawing and performance (May – September)
Artist workshops at the Madre Museum. Four free events dedicated to contemporary art, from May to September 2025, curated by young artists and tailor-made for children, teenagers and adults.
It begins on Monday the 5th, Tuesday the 6th and Wednesday the 7th of May (each day from 4pm to 6pm) with the Poetry Writing Workshop by Allison Grimaldi Donahue, dedicated to children aged 14 to 18. The American artist and writer will guide the young participants along a path of poetic exploration, alternating moments of reading with exercises in poetry writing. The works of art on display at the Madre Museum will be a source of inspiration to stimulate creativity and experiment with different styles and expressive techniques. Through individual and group activities, students will learn to share their own texts, listen to and constructively comment on those of others, developing not only their own poetic voice but also the capacity for critical reading.
The workshop will conclude with the creation of a collective project: a ‘poetic poster’, the result of the reflections and texts generated during the course, which each participant will be able to take home as a memento of the experience.
On the 21st and 22nd of June, Alice Visentin will invite children between the ages of 6 and 12 to explore their imaginations and create imaginary worlds through painting and the use of a projector. Participants will be given large sheets of cardboard on which to create a ‘picto-story’ in which they will then become protagonists by immersing themselves in the scenarios they have painted and projected. A collective and immersive experience that will combine creativity and play.
On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of July, it will be Marco Pio Pucci’s turn to lead a workshop for girls and boys aged between 10 and 15, focusing on drawing and the representation of the city of Naples in contemporary art. After a guided tour of the Madre, during which the artist will lead the participants in discovering the works in the collection, they will practise drawing on paper and then on fabric to create T-shirts, ideally destined to become the official uniforms of SSC Napoli.
The final session in September, with the Artist Workshops, is open to all ages and will feature Derek MF Di Fabio, a contemporary artist working at the crossroads of visual art and performance, who will guide participants in the creation of masks and puppets made from recycled and low impact materials. The works created will be paraded through the streets of the city in a final public event.
