“Il mio Natale. La città che ascolta”. I ricordi, le emozioni e il vissuto prendono forma nello spettacolo teatrale che nasce da un progetto di scrittura creativa (foto). Lo ospiterà domenica 4 gennaio, alle 18, la biblioteca Grazia Deledda di Ponticelli.
Promossa dal Nuovo Teatro Sanità, nell’ambito della rassegna “Altri Natali” promossa dal Comune di Napoli, l’iniziativa, si è sviluppata attraverso un laboratorio rivolto a un pubblico adulto, dal 9 all’11 dicembre e ha coinvolto sette persone che frequentano la biblioteca, affiancate da tre giovani drammaturghi, Enzo Castellone, Biagio di Carlo e Macky Montella, e coordinati del drammaturgo Mario Gelardi.
I partecipanti sono stati guidati a raccontare e mettere su carta un episodio, un’immagine o un sentimento legato al proprio Natale: vissuto, sognato, mancato o trasformato. Il racconto si trasforma così in teatro e il teatro diventa luogo di incontro e di vita, dove le storie personali si intrecciano e si rispecchiano nella comunità.
I testi sono diventati brevi drammaturgie originali che prenderanno vita in scena grazie alla voce di attori e attrici, in un affresco intimo e corale. Un percorso che invita a riscoprire il valore della memoria condivisa e a celebrare la parola scritta come forma d’arte, relazione e partecipazione attiva.
I rappresentanti della Cooperativa sociale Sepofà, l’associazione Noi@Europe e l’associazione TerradiConfine, i tre enti che gestiscono la biblioteca del quartiere della Napoli est, sottolineano l’importanza del progetto: «Ospitare nella Biblioteca Grazia Deledda l’esito finale di un percorso di scrittura teatrale curato dal Nuovo Teatro Sanità significa ribadire una visione condivisa: le biblioteche pubbliche, soprattutto in periferia, sono luoghi vivi, aperti e capaci di accogliere linguaggi culturali contemporanei e percorsi di qualità. Portare il teatro, la scrittura e la formazione artistica in un quartiere come Ponticelli vuol dire riconoscere valore ai territori e alle persone che li abitano, offrendo occasioni concrete di espressione, crescita e partecipazione. È in questa apertura alle collaborazioni, e nella scelta di investire sulla cultura come strumento di comunità, che le biblioteche possono tornare a essere veri presìdi sociali e culturali».
Il progetto è organizzato in collaborazione con istituzioni locali e nazionali come Regione Campania, Ministero della Cultura, MIUR – Ufficio Scolastico Regionale, Fondazione Banco Sanpaolo e Teatro Pubblico Campano.
Ponticelli/ Grazia Deledda Library: Seven people share their memories and feelings about Christmas. A spectacle promoted by the Sanità Theatre, born from a writing workshop
‘My Christmas. The city that listens.’ Memories, emotions and experiences take shape in a theatrical performance that originated from a creative writing project (photo). It will be hosted on Sunday, the 4th of January, at 6 p.m., at the Grazia Deledda Library in Ponticelli.
Promoted by the Nuovo Teatro Sanità, as part of the “Altri Natali” (Other Christmases) festival sponsored by the Municipality of Naples, the initiative was developed through a workshop aimed at an adult audience, from the 9th to the 11th of December, involving seven people who frequent the library, supported by three young playwrights, Enzo Castellone, Biagio di Carlo and Macky Montella, and coordinated by playwright Mario Gelardi.
The participants were guided to recount and put down on paper an episode, an image or a feeling related to their own Christmas: experienced, dreamed, missed or transformed. The story is thus transformed into theatre, and the theatre becomes a place of meeting and life, where personal experiences intertwine and are reflected in the community.
The texts have become short original plays that will come to life on stage thanks to the voices of actors and actresses, in an intimate and choral fresco. A journey that invites us to rediscover the value of shared memory and to celebrate the written word as a form of art, relationship and active participation.
Representatives of the Sepofà social cooperative, the Noi@Europe association and the TerradiConfine association, the three organizations that manage the library in the eastern district of Naples, emphasize the importance of the project: ‘Hosting the final outcome of a theatre writing course curated by the Nuovo Teatro Sanità in the Grazia Deledda Library means reaffirming a shared vision: public libraries, especially in the suburbs, are lively, open places capable of welcoming contemporary cultural languages and quality courses. Bringing theatre, writing and artistic training to a neighbourhood like Ponticelli means recognising the value of the areas and the people who live there, offering concrete opportunities for expression, growth and participation. It is through this openness to collaboration and the choice to invest in culture as a community tool that libraries can once again become true social and cultural centres.”
The project is organised in collaboration with local and national institutions such as the Campania Region, the Ministry of Culture, MIUR – Regional Education Office, Fondazione Banco Sanpaolo and Teatro Pubblico Campano.
