Sold out nella città della musica per il tradizionale concerto di Capodanno della Fondazione Ravello. In un luminoso pomeriggio invernale dal clima mite. Sul palcoscenico dell’Auditorium Oscar Niemeyer l’Orchestra Filarmonica di Benevento diretta da Jordi Bernàcer che è tornato a Ravello con un programma interamente dedicato a celebri pagine d’opera (ph. Trocino).
Per la prima volta sull’ambio palcoscenico della costiera amalfitana, due protagonisti della scena operistica internazionale: il soprano Maria Kokareva e il baritono Amartuvshin Enkhbat, tra i più applauditi interpreti verdiani di oggi. Il programma ha alternato celebri arie e pagine sinfoniche, mettendo in luce tanto le qualità dei solisti quanto la compattezza dell’ensemble orchestrale.
In apertura, il preludio della Carmen di Bizet, seguito da Les filles de Cadix di Delibes. L’orchestra poi è stata protagonista nell’Intermezzo da Fedora di Giordano, cui ha fatto da contrappunto l’intensa pagina di Nemico della patria da Andrea Chénier. Il clima si è fatto più raccolto con O mio babbino caro di Puccini e poi il Prologo dei Pagliacci di Leoncavallo.
Finale dedicato a Verdi, con brani dalla Traviata e dal Rigoletto che restituiscono tutta la varietà del suo teatro: dall’introspezione di Violetta alla furia dolente di Rigoletto, dall’innocenza di Gilda alla drammatica invettiva del padre offeso. Proprio nel conclusivo Sì, vendetta, Kokareva ed Enkhbat hanno raccolto applausi calorosi e prolungati, condivisi con il direttore e l’orchestra.
Due bis per un pubblico entusiasta: Non ti scordar di me e, a suggello della serata, ancora Verdi e Sì, vendetta da Rigoletto, chiudendo il concerto in un clima di festa e partecipazione.

The traditional New Year’s Concert of the Ravello Foundation was sold out in the City of Music, inaugurating the new year on a bright winter afternoon in mild weather. On the stage of the Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium, the Benevento Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Jordi Bernàcer returned to Ravello with a programme entirely dedicated to famous opera pieces.
Making their debut in the City of Music were two stars of the international opera scene: soprano Maria Kokareva and baritone Amartuvshin Enkhbat, among the most acclaimed Verdi performers of today. The programme alternated famous arias and symphonic pieces, highlighting both the qualities of the soloists and the cohesion of the orchestral ensemble.
The concert opened with the prelude to Bizet’s Carmen, followed by Delibes’ Les filles de Cadix. The orchestra then took centre stage in Giordano’s Intermezzo from Fedora, counterpointed by the intense Nemico della patria from Andrea Chénier. The mood became more intimate with Puccini’s O mio babbino caro and then the Prologue from Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci.
The finale was dedicated to Verdi, with excerpts from La Traviata and Rigoletto that showcased the full range of his theatrical repertoire: from Violetta’s introspection to Rigoletto’s painful fury, from Gilda’s innocence to the dramatic invective of her offended father. Right at the end, with Sì, vendetta, Kokareva and Enkhbat received warm and prolonged applause, shared with the conductor and the orchestra.
Two encore pieces for an enthusiastic audience: Non ti scordar di me and, to round off the evening, Verdi again with Sì, vendetta from Rigoletto, closing the concert in a festive and participatory atmosphere.
