Riapre al pubblico il Parco del Viale del Poggio, un grande polmone verde che si affaccia sulla città. Circa 40mila metri quadrati situati a 195 metri sul livello del mare, nella parte orientale delle colline di Napoli. Da giovedì prossimo sette serate dedicate di cinema all’aperto con film cult intramontabili e pellicole da Oscar .
Il progetto di riqualificazione – finanziato dal Piano Strategico della Città Metropolitana e gestito dal Comune di Napoli – ha previsto, tra gli interventi principali, il restyling completo dell’area giochi, con attrezzature moderne e inclusive, e il recupero della biblioteca, degli spalti e del palco, che torneranno ad ospitare proiezioni, spettacoli e manifestazioni culturali.
Sono inoltre stati realizzati, in aree del parco precedentemente inutilizzate, nuovi spazi per il tempo libero e la socialità: una zona picnic attrezzata, pensata per accogliere famiglie e gruppi in un contesto naturale e rilassante; un’area fitness; e uno spazio recintato con attrezzature ludiche, dedicato allo sgambamento dei cani.
Particolare attenzione è stata riservata alla riqualificazione del verde, con interventi mirati sul patrimonio arboreo e arbustivo, che in questo parco si distingue per l’ampia varietà di specie presenti.
Sono stati inoltre eseguiti importanti interventi impiantistici: installato un nuovo impianto di videosorveglianza, rinnovato l’impianto di illuminazione e realizzato un nuovo sistema di irrigazione automatico.
In occasione della riapertura al pubblico del parco, il Comune di Napoli punta su un forte segnale di rinascita culturale: una settimana di film da godersi sotto le stelle. S’intitola “Cinema al Poggio” la nuova rassegna in programma da giovedì 24 a mercoledì 30 luglio, con proiezioni ogni sera alle ore 21.00 e ingresso libero fino a esaurimento posti.
Un maxischermo per cult intramontabili e pellicole da Oscar: sette opere di successo, sette modi differenti di raccontare emozioni, sogni e contraddizioni, tutti rivolti a una platea ampia e trasversale, dagli adulti ai bambini, dagli appassionati ai curiosi della settima arte. Un’iniziativa che rientra nel programma del Comune Estate a Napoli.

Summer in Naples / Poggio Park reopens and it’s cinema time: from July 24th to 30th, 7 films to tell emotions, dreams, and contradictions
Viale Del Poggio Park, a large green space overlooking the city, reopens to the public. Approximately 40,000 square meters, located 195 meters above sea level in the eastern hills of Naples, are open to the public. Starting next Thursday, seven evenings of open-air cinema will screen timeless cult films and Oscar-winning titles.
The redevelopment project—funded by the Metropolitan City Strategic Plan and managed by the City of Naples—has included, among other major projects, a complete restyling of the playground, with modern and inclusive equipment, and the restoration of the library, stands, and stage, which will once again host screenings, shows, and cultural events.
New spaces for leisure and socializing have also been created in previously unused areas of the park: a fully equipped picnic area, designed to welcome families and groups in a natural and relaxing setting; a fitness area; and a fenced-in area with play equipment, dedicated to dog walking.
Particular attention has been paid to the redevelopment of the park’s greenery, with targeted interventions targeting the trees and shrubs, which are distinguished by the wide variety of species present in this park.
Significant system improvements have also been carried out: a new video surveillance system has been installed, the lighting system has been updated, and a new automatic irrigation system has been installed.
To mark the park’s reopening to the public, the City of Naples is sending out a strong message of cultural rebirth: a week of films to enjoy under the stars. Titled “Cinema al Poggio,” the new festival will run from Thursday, July 24th to Wednesday, July 30th, with screenings every evening at 9:00 PM and free admission subject to availability.
A giant screen for timeless cult films and Oscar-winning films: seven successful works, seven different ways of expressing emotions, dreams, and contradictions, all aimed at a broad and diverse audience, from adults to children, from film enthusiasts to those curious about the seventh art. This initiative is part of the City’s Summer in Naples program.
