C’è una stanza dell’architetto nel cuore di Napoli. Un’idea che nasce nello showroom Prezioso casa di Piazza Vittoria: dal 3 giugno lancia un format culturale inedito. Sarà un hub permanente per il design contemporaneo dove potranno dialogare il progetto, la materia e l’abitare.
L’iniziativa è di Gaetano Ambrosca che apre il proprio spazio alla città in una forma nuova: non solo showroom, ma luogo di ricerca estetica e scambio intellettuale. A darle forma è Loredana De Luca, fondatrice di TheSignEvent che si occupa di architettura, design, arte e cultura del vivere.
Parola chiave: curatela temporanea. Nel corso dell’anno, lo showroom si trasformerà quattro volte. A ogni cambio di stagione, un architetto o designer ospite riceverà le chiavi di un ambiente e lo reinterpreterà come installazione narrativa, costruendo un’esperienza totale intorno a tre elementi fondamentali la materia, la luce e lo spazio abitato. Saranno manifesti progettuali capaci di raccontare una filosofia, un approccio, una visione del mondo.
Quattro gli studi coinvolti in questa prima edizione del ciclo, ciascuno con un titolo che anticipa l’atmosfera della propria stanza senza svelarla del tutto.
Ad aprirlo saranno Francesco Rotondale e Emilia Abate con Federica Giulivo, con “This is me”. Seguiranno Paola Sola con Gabriele Bonomo per Disegno abitato, poi Luca Santoro con Marco Coda proporranno “Salva con nome”, fino alla chiusura affidata a Tiziana D’Ambrosio e Fabio D’Alema “Il cielo in una stanza”. Quattro visioni, quattro linguaggi, quattro modi di interpretare lo stesso spazio.
Ogni installazione sarà inaugurata con un evento articolato in due momenti distinti: una conversazione pubblica e critica tra gli autori, la curatrice e un coach narrativo, e un vernissage serale riservato a un gruppo selezionata di architetti, interior designer, partner e appassionati del settore.
Nei mesi successivi, sarà accessibile al pubblico: lo showroom si fa percorso museale, dove l’esperienza estetica precede e accompagna, la scelta d’acquisto.
Una giuria valuterà le installazioni, premiando quella più capace di rispondere alla sfida estetica e concettuale del format. Presidente di giuria è Francesco Scardaccione. Gli altri giurati resteranno anonimi fino al giorno della proclamazione.
Prezioso casa showroom/ The architect’s room opens in Naples: four design projects in one year, combining materials, light, and living space
There’s an architect’s room in the heart of Naples. An idea born in the Prezioso Casa showroom in Piazza Vittoria: starting June 3rd, it launches a new cultural format. It will be a permanent hub for contemporary design where design, materials, and living can interact.
The initiative is by Gaetano Ambrosca, who is opening his space to the city in a new form: not just a showroom, but a place for aesthetic research and intellectual exchange. It is being shaped by Loredana De Luca, founder of TheSignEvent, which focuses on architecture, design, art, and the culture of living.
Keyword: temporary curation. Over the course of the year, the showroom will be transformed four times. With each change of season, a guest architect or designer will receive the keys to a space and reinterpret it as a narrative installation, building a total experience around three fundamental elements: materials, light, and inhabited space. These will be design manifestos capable of conveying a philosophy, an approach, and a vision of the world.
Four studios are involved in this first edition of the series, each with a title that hints at the atmosphere of their room without revealing it entirely.
Francesco Rotondale and Emilia Abate, along with Federica Giulivo, will open the exhibition with “This is me.” They will be followed by Paola Sola and Gabriele Bonomo for “Disegno abitato,” then Luca Santoro and Marco Coda will present “Save as,” and finally, Tiziana D’Ambrosio and Fabio D’Alema will close with “Il cielo in una stanza.” Four visions, four languages, four ways of interpreting the same space.
Each installation will be inaugurated with an event divided into two distinct moments: a public and critical conversation between the authors, the curator, and a narrative coach, and an evening vernissage reserved for a select group of architects, interior designers, partners, and enthusiasts.
In the following months, it will be accessible to the public: the showroom becomes a museum experience, where the aesthetic experience precedes and accompanies the purchasing decision.
A jury will evaluate the installations, awarding the one that best meets the aesthetic and conceptual challenges of the format. The jury president is Francesco Scardaccione. The other jurors will remain anonymous until the day of the announcement.
