Artista e persona che cercava sempre uno scambio (di prospettive) anche con allieve e allievi dell’Accademia di belle arti di Napoli. Che da oggi accoglie, nella propria Galleria (Gan), la sua opera dal titolo emblematico “La combattente” (in alluminio e pigmento bianco).
Marisa Albanese scomparsa nel 2021, all’età di 74, dopo aver strenuamente resistito alla malattia che l’aveva colpita, era una combattente (determinata) non perché remasse contro qualcuno o qualcosa ma per la forza delle sue idee.
Grazie al bando lanciato nel piano per l’arte contemporanea (Pac) promosso dalla direzione generale dell’arte contemporanea del Ministero della cultura, di cui il progetto risulta vincitore, come hanno sottolineato durante la presentazione dell’acquisizione stamattina Rosita Marchese (prima donna presidente dell’istituzione) e il direttore Giuseppe Gaeta, si avvia una valorizzazione al femminile della Pinacoteca con tre step di un programma che prevede di porre in primo piano il lavoro di tre autrici.
Si parte, dunque, da Marisa Albanese che sempre si è mossa sul solco di pensiero e azione, nell’assoluta libertà creativa.
Un omaggio, questo, a tutte le donne che hanno militato come resistenti ai tempi del secondo conflitto mondiale, ma anche a quelle che si sono sempre ribellate all’omologazione e ai luoghi comuni.
L’opera è stata collocata nella sala del secondo 900, che arriva agli anni 2000 in uno spazio riaperto al pubblico, dopo circa tre anni di lavoro, nell’aprile del 2022 con un nuovo ordinamento studiato e curato da Federica De Rosa e Marco Di Capua, un nuovo allestimento condotto con l’architetto Lucio Turchetta e una nuova identità grafica realizzata da Enrica D’Aguanno.

Naples Academy of Fine Arts/ In the Gallery, Marisa Albanese’s “The fighter” arrives. A tribute to all women who rebel with the power of ideas
An artist and a person who was always in search of an exchange (of perspectives) also with the students of the Academy of fine arts in Naples. Which welcomes her work with the emblematic title “The Fighter” (aluminum and white pigment) in its gallery from today.
Marisa Albanese, who passed away in 2021 at the age of 74, having fought hard against the disease that afflicted her, was a (determined) fighter, not because she fought against anyone or anything, but because of the strength of her ideas.
Thanks to the call for tenders launched by the Contemporary Art Plan (Pac), promoted by the General Directorate for Contemporary Art of the Ministry of Culture, of which the project is the winner, as Rosita Marchese (the first female president of the institution) and the director Giuseppe Gaeta pointed out this morning during the presentation of the acquisition, a female enrichment of the Pinacoteca is being launched in three steps, which plan to foreground the work of three women.
It begins, then, with Marisa Albanese, who has always followed the path of thought and action in absolute creative freedom.
This is a tribute to all the women who fought as resisters during the second world war, but also to those who have always rebelled against homologation and clichés.
The work was placed in the second 900 room, reaching back to the 2000s, in a space reopened to the public, after about three years of work, in April 2022 with a new arrangement designed and curated by Federica De Rosa and Marco Di Capua, a new layout conducted with architect Lucio Turchetta, and a new graphic identity created by Enrica D’Aguanno.
