“E te dico core core…”. Fausta Vetere ha scelto questo titolo per il recital di sabato 4 marzo al Teatro Karol di Castellammare di Stabia (in via Salvador Allende 4,) che inizierà alle 20.30.
La storica voce della Nuova compagnia di Canto popolare percorrerà la sua carriera artistica: dall’incontro con Roberto De Simone fino al periodo più recente caratterizzato da brani scritti per lei da vari autori. L’accompagnerà la chitarra di Umberto Maisto.
L’appuntamento è il primo dei due spettacoli proposti nel fine settimana nell’ambito dell’ampia programmazione a cura di Casa del Contemporaneo e Le Nuvole “coltivare arte” che guarda anche al pubblico dei più piccoli (3+) e famiglie con il concerto di bolle di sapone “Ouverture des saponettes” portate in scena dal mimo, clown e giocoliere Michele Cafaggi nel pomeriggio di domenica 5 marzo con inizio alle 17 in un racconto visuale e musicale-
Spiega Vetere: «L’incontro con il maestro De Simone mi ha aperto la visione di una storia musicale napoletana diversa da quella che si conosceva. Un mondo che ri-portava alla luce una storia segreta della città partenopea, fuori degli stereotipi, che attingeva alle fonti di quella musica che nei secoli l’ha resa famosa e conosciuta: non solo capipopolo o vicerè ma soprattutto quelli che sono passati senza nome».
Repertorio ampio quello proposto da Vetere: dalle antiche villanelle alle tammurriate, dalle moresche alle tarantelle, a cui si aggiungono brani, mai cantati prima, della canzone classica napoletana riportati alla semplicità ed alla leggerezza di un tempo. Elemento unificatore di questi due mondi, comunque distanti tra di loro, sarà la sua voce, una voce intensa che esprime tutta la cultura del Mediterraneo.

“E te dico core core…” Fausta Vetere has chosen this title for her recital on Saturday, March 4th at the Karol Theater in Castellammare di Stabia (at 4 Salvador Allende Street,) which will begin at 8:30 pm.
The historic voice of the Nuova compagnia di Canto popolare will travel through her artistic career: from her meeting with Roberto De Simone to the more recent period characterized by songs written for her by various authors. She will be accompanied by Umberto Maisto’s guitar.

Explains Vetere: “My meeting with Maestro De Simone opened my vision of a different Neapolitan musical history from what was known. A world that re- brought to light a secret history of the Neapolitan city, outside of stereotypes, that drew on the sources of the music that over the centuries has made it famous and well-known: not only chieftains or viceroys but above all those who have passed without a name.”
Vetere will propose a wide repertoire: from ancient villanelle to tammurriate, from moresche to tarantelle, to which will be added songs, never sung before, of the classic Neapolitan song brought back to the simplicity and lightness of the past. A unifying element of these two worlds, however distant from each other, will be her voice, an intense one that expresses all the culture of the Mediterranean.
