Il palcoscenico come spazio di crescita e comunità, Nasce da questa visione “Il teatro e la polis”, secondo progetto della Fondazione Pio Monte ETS nell’ambito di un più ampio programma dedicato ai linguaggi artistici come strumenti educativi e relazionali. L’iniziativa è realizzata in collaborazione con il Teatro Elicantropo, la Fondazione Eduardo De Filippo, Fondazione TriDama ETS e la Fondazione Napoli C’entro ETS con il MUDD- Museo Diocesano Diffuso.
Un percorso culturale e formativo, guidato dal regista Carlo Cerciello, con circa 40 giovani a partire dai 16 anni, completamente gratuito, che prenderà avvio il 13 aprile 2026 per concludersi a febbraio 2027, con la messa in scena finale del lavoro realizzato.
La presentazione ufficiale alla città si terrà il 7 aprile alle 16 nella chiesa di Sant’Aniello a Caponapoli (foto). A presentare e illustrare l’iniziativa saranno Luigi Pietro Rocco di Torrepadula, Presidente della Fondazione Pio Monte ETS, e Carlo Cerciello, regista e direttore artistico del Teatro Elicantropo. Interverranno inoltre i partner dell’iniziativa Vincenzo Porzio, Direttore della Fondazione Napoli C’entro ETS e del MUDD – Museo Diocesano Diffuso, e Francesco Somma, Direttore della Fondazione Eduardo De Filippo e Carmela Bruna Trimarco, Presidente della Fondazione Tridama ETS.
In occasione della presentazione, il pubblico potrà visitare il complesso di Sant’Aniello a Caponapoli, recentemente riaperto e restituito alla città grazie al progetto del MUDD – Museo Diocesano Diffuso. I giovani del museo accompagneranno i visitatori in un percorso di scoperta del luogo, oggi spazio attivo di cultura, formazione e partecipazione. E in questo luogo si svolgeranno anche le attività del progetto.
“Il teatro e la polis” si fonda sull’idea del teatro come pratica viva, capace di attivare consapevolezza, senso critico e partecipazione. In un momento storico spesso segnato da disuguaglianze e marginalità, il teatro diventa spazio di accoglienza e possibilità, in cui le esperienze individuali si trasformano in racconto collettivo.
Il percorso prevede un lavoro sul testo “De Pretore Vincenzo” di Eduardo De Filippo, opera che affronta temi particolarmente attuali come l’ingiustizia sociale, l’ipocrisia del potere e la fragilità sociale.

The stage as a space for growth and community: this vision has given rise to “Il teatro e la polis”, the second project by the Fondazione Pio Monte ETS as part of a wider programme dedicated to artistic languages as tools for education and social interaction. The initiative is organised in collaboration with the Teatro Elicantropo, the Fondazione Eduardo De Filippo, the Fondazione TriDama ETS and the Fondazione Napoli C’entro ETS, together with the MUDD – Museo Diocesano Diffuso.
A cultural and educational programme, led by director Carlo Cerciello, involving around 40 young people aged 16 and over, completely free of charge, which will begin on 13 April 2026 and conclude in February 2027 with the final performance of the work created.
The official presentation to the city will take place on the 7th of April at 4 pm in the church of Sant’Aniello in Caponapoli. The initiative will be presented and explained by Luigi Pietro Rocco di Torrepadula, President of the Fondazione Pio Monte ETS, and Carlo Cerciello, director and artistic director of the Teatro Elicantropo. Also speaking will be the initiative’s partners: Vincenzo Porzio, Director of the Fondazione Napoli C’entro ETS and the MUDD – Museo Diocesano Diffuso; Francesco Somma, Director of the Fondazione Eduardo De Filippo; and Carmela Bruna Trimarco, President of the Fondazione Tridama ETS.
During the launch event, the public will be welcomed to visit the Sant’Aniello complex in Caponapoli, which has recently reopened and been returned to the city thanks to the MUDD – Museo Diocesano Diffuso project. Young people from the museum will guide visitors on a journey of discovery through the site, which today serves as a vibrant hub for culture, education and community engagement. It is here that the project’s activities will also take place.
“Theatre and the Polis” is based on the idea of theatre as a living practice, capable of fostering awareness, critical thinking and participation. At a time in history often marked by inequality and marginalisation, theatre becomes a space of welcome and possibility, where individual experiences are transformed into a collective narrative.
The programme will focus on Eduardo De Filippo’s play “De Pretore Vincenzo”, a work that tackles particularly topical issues such as social injustice, the hypocrisy of power and social fragility.
