“Eleonora#1799”. Il volto dell’aristocratica portoghese Pimentel Fonseca, anima della rivoluzione partenopea, sarà quello di Cristina Donadio (foto) al Festival Segreti d’autore domani, martedì 4 agosto.
Nella rassegna ideata da Ruggero Cappuccio e diretta da Nadia Baldi ( che ha il sostegno del Ministero della Cultura e della Regione Campania con i fondi del Pnrr), la popolare attrice presenterà alle 21,30 al pubblico di Palazzo Coppola a Valle-Sessa Cilento (in provincia di Salerno) uno spettacolo, tratto da “Sull’ordine e il disordine dell’ex Macello Pubblico” di Enzo Moscato.
Un modo per riflettere insieme su quanto possa esserci di poetico nel generoso tentativo di tanti uomini e donne (furono 120 i patrioti giustiziati) disposti a sacrificare la loro stessa vita per un ideale di libertà, sognando, ieri come oggi, la bellezza di un rinnovato vivere civico.
L’incontro con Renato Salvetti, in dialogo con Nadia Baldi alle 20,30, precederà l’appuntamento teatrale e sarà l’occasione per presentare “I dieci comandamenti del diavolo”, il libro di Salvetti. Pubblicato da Solfanelli, il volume, ambientato nel 1813, racconta la storia di un giovane aspirante falegname che, inseguendo un sogno di ricchezza, si ritrova a passare da una tranquilla esistenza in Provenza a un intrigo spaventoso alle falde del Vesuvio, dove è costretto ad affrontare un nemico votato al male.

Cilento / “Segreti d’autore” Festival: Cristina Donadio brings Eleonora Pimentel Fonseca to life. A reflection on the (Neapolitan) revolution of 1799
“Eleonora#1799.” Cristina Donadio will portray the Portuguese aristocrat Pimentel Fonseca—the driving force behind the Neapolitan Revolution—at the Segreti d’autore Festival tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4.
In this festival conceived by Ruggero Cappuccio and directed by Nadia Baldi (which is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Campania Region with funds from the PNRR), the popular actress will present a performance at 9:30 p.m. to the audience at Palazzo Coppola in Valle-Sessa Cilento (in the province of Salerno), adapted from Enzo Moscato’s “On the Order and Disorder of the Former Public Slaughterhouse.”
It is an opportunity to reflect together on the poetry inherent in the selfless efforts of so many men and women (120 patriots were executed) who were willing to sacrifice their very lives for an ideal of freedom, dreaming—yesterday as today—of the beauty of a renewed civic life.
The discussion with Renato Salvetti, in conversation with Nadia Baldi at 8:30 p.m., will precede the theatrical performance and will be an opportunity to present “The Devil’s Ten Commandments,” Salvetti’s book, hot off the press. Published by Solfanelli, the novel—set in 1813—tells the story of a young aspiring carpenter who, chasing a dream of wealth, finds himself transitioning from a peaceful life in Provence to a terrifying web of intrigue at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, where he is forced to confront an enemy devoted to evil.
