“Welcome to Naples”.

Noi@Europe/ “Welcome to Naples”, a free multilingual guide for foreign students and workers. How to find your way around the city’s services

“Welcome to Naples”. A multilingual guide for foreign students and workers. Designed to help them navigate Naples’ services. The handbook is the result of a collaborative planning process initiated by the Noi@Europe association as part of the “CiAc for an Accessible City” project, funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme.
It will be presented on Friday the 30th October at 5.30 pm during a free event hosted at the European library of the Europe Direct Centre in Naples (Piazza Cavour 38): open to Erasmus and international students, university students, student associations and anyone interested in the activities and opportunities offered by the European Union.
The guide, already available in English and soon to be published in other widely spoken languages in the city, is a free resource designed for the many young people who, whether for study or work, are living in Naples either temporarily or permanently, but who face various obstacles in accessing public services due to a lack of information in English or other languages, and the difficulty in finding such information.
Pietro Sabatino, president of Noi@Europe, explains: “From public administration services to local transport and waste management: all the foreign nationals engaged by the association report significant difficulties in their daily lives. For some time now, we have been listening to students, workers and other young foreign nationals living in the city to identify their needs and requirements, so as to break down the obstacles and barriers that make Naples still only marginally – or not at all – accessible from many points of view” .
The guide, available online, will be presented to the public during the final stage of ‘CiAc for an Accessible City’, an initiative that has facilitated a series of round-table discussions and other free opportunities for people to have their voices heard and participate actively.
Noi@Europe is a third-sector organisation that works continuously with expats, Erasmus students, international students and local young people alike. The organisation was founded in Naples in 2012 with the aim of raising awareness amongst young Neapolitans of the opportunities that Europe has to offer them
