Tre decenni meritano una celebrazione. Domenica 19 marzo alle 19 nella sala Scarlatti del Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella di Napoli (Via San Pietro a Majella 35), appuntamento con il “Concerto dei 30 anni della Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti (1993-2023)”.
A dirigere ill programma sinfonico sarà Beatrice Venezi tra musiche di Scarlatti, Mozart, Haydn e Schubert. Come solista si esibirà Davide Battista, giovane talento quindicenne e prima tromba dell’Orchestra Scarlatti Junior. Un anniversario che significa tanti anni di vita e di continua presenza sul territorio e anche di importanti proiezioni in campo nazionale e internazionale, da Roma a Milano, da Berlino a Pechino.
Un’orchestra che ha colmato il vuoto delle istituzioni, completamenti assenti in qualsiasi sostegno come spiega il fondatore e direttore artistico Gaetano Russo: «A voler trarre un bilancio, a partire da quel primo concerto all’Auditorium della RAI di Napoli il 21 marzo 1993, credo di poter dire che, nonostante i sostegni minimi rispetto alle esigenze di un’Orchestra e le crescenti difficoltà, non siamo venuti mai meno al nostro impegno per la diffusione, più ampia possibile, della grande musica come bene comune per tutti, per la promozione dell’immagine di Napoli e della Campania. Sono stati anni di impegno costante per la formazione e la promozione artistica e professionale di tanti giovani musicisti nati dopo di noi, tanti ‘under 30’, molti dei quali si ritrovano oggi nelle file della nostra Orchestra.Questo concerto vuole essere una festa, insieme ai nostri musicisti e al nostro pubblico, ma anche l’ennesima occasione per chiedere alle istituzioni nazionali e locali un impegno concreto per colmare un vuoto dannoso per tutta la comunità, per far sì che anche per i nostri giovani, come amiamo ripetere da un po’, la via dell’emigrazione intellettuale sia sempre più un’opportunità e sempre meno una necessità».
I festeggiamenti continuano martedì 21 marzo nella Chiesa dei SS. Marcellino e Festo di Napoli, “Musica Insieme per i 30 anni della Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti”, una non-stop musicale dalle 16 alle 19 a cui, accanto ai musicisti dell’Orchestra, potranno partecipare in varie aggregazioni componenti delle diverse realtà della Comunità delle Orchestra Scarlatti: l’Orchestra Scarlatti Junior, l’Orchestra Scarlatti Young, l’amatoriale Scarlatti per Tutti, l’universitario Ensemble per Federico e altri musicisti ed ensemble che si sentano in sintonia con lo spirito dell’Orchestra.
Tre ore nella gioia condivisa della musica, aperte anche agli amici, ai simpatizzanti, a tutto il pubblico che vorrà partecipare..

Three decades deserve a celebration. On Sunday, March 19, at 7 p.m. in the Scarlatti Hall of the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples (Via San Pietro a Majella 35), the “30th Anniversary Concert of the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti (1993-2023)” will be held.
Conducting the symphonic program will be Beatrice Venezi among pieces by Scarlatti, Mozart, Haydn and Schubert. Davide Battista, a 15-year-old young talent and first trumpet of the Scarlatti Junior Orchestra, will perform as solist. An anniversary that means many years of life and continuous presence in the area and also of important projections in the national and international arena, from Rome to Milan, from Berlin to Beijing.
An orchestra that has filled the void of the institutions, completely absent in any support as founder and artistic director Gaetano Russo explains, “To draw a balance, starting from that first concert at the RAI Auditorium in Naples on March 21, 1993, I think I can say that, despite the minimal support compared to the needs of an orchestra and the growing difficulties, we have never failed in our commitment to the dissemination, as wide as possible, of great music as a common good for all, for the promotion of the image of Naples and Campania. These have been years of constant commitment to the training and artistic and professional promotion of many young musicians born after us, many ‘under 30’, many of whom can be found today in the ranks of our Orchestra. This concert is meant to be a celebration, together with our musicians and our audience, but also yet another opportunity to ask national and local institutions for a concrete commitment to fill a harmful gap for the whole community, to ensure that even for our young people, as we have been fond of repeating for a while, the path of intellectual emigration is increasingly an opportunity and less and less a necessity.”
The celebrations continue on Tuesday, March 21, at the Church of SS. Marcellinus and Festus in Naples, “Musica Insieme per i 30 anni della Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti,” a musical non-stop from 4 to 7 p.m. in which, beside the musicians of the Orchestra, components of the different realities of the Scarlatti Orchestra Community will be able to participate in various aggregations: the Orchestra Scarlatti Junior, the Orchestra Scarlatti Young, the amateur Scarlatti per Tutti, the university Ensemble per Federico and other musicians and ensembles who feel in tune with the spirit of the Orchestra.
Three hours in the shared joy of music, also open to friends, sympathizers, and any audience who would like to attend.
