Una festa diffusa per celebrare la bevanda degli dei. Dal 20 al 24 maggio torna a Napoli la 17esima edizione di Wine&Thecity, Il vino – di circa 100 cantine provenienti da diverse regioni d’Italia – e la città sono i protagonisti del progetto che mette in rete piccole e grandi realtà cittadine, imprese e soggetti culturali all’insegna dell’ebbrezza creativa, pay off della manifestazione.
Martedì 20 maggio, l’ex Ospedale Ravaschieri della Riviera di Chiaia accoglie la serata inaugurale tra bellezza, musica e impegno sociale: i vini del Consorzio Tutela Vini Vesuvio accompagnano il percorso gastronomico a cura di Alba catering, con le perle di mozzarella e il prosciutto al taglio di Ciro Amodio 1825, i pani e prodotti da forno del panificio Moccia.
Lo chef ospite di questa edizione è Gianluca D’Agostino del ristorante Joca, il finale dolcissimo, a cura di Mulino Caputo, è con le creazioni di della pasticceria Pesce di Avella. In consolle Dj Cerchietto.
Voluto dalla duchessa Teresa Fieschi Ravaschieri in memoria della figlia Lina, e inaugurato nel 1880, il Ravaschieri di via Croce Rossa”fu il primo ospedale chirurgico pediatrico italiano, oggi sede della Fondazione Santobono-Pausilipon cui andrà il ricavato della serata (la partecipazione costa 50 euro).
Dal 21 al 24 maggio, Wine&Thecity prosegue con una serie di appuntamenti diffusi in città in spazi privati, tra palazzi e cortili storici, giardini e boutique, alberghi e percorsi urbani.
Il 22 maggio Wine&Thecity porta calici, vini e sommelier tra le vie di Chiaia. Un solo giorno, un quartiere in festa è il motto di questo appuntamento a cui aderiscono boutique indipendenti, insegne storiche e piccoli atelier, bistrot, ristoranti e show room di design. Dalle 18 alle 21 le vetrine e gli spazi si animano tra dj set, performance, collezioni moda, aperitivi e degustazioni, show cooking.
Il 21 maggio tappa al bistrot ristorante Essencia in piazza Santa Maria La Novae il 23 maggio sul roof top del Grand Hotel Oriente e all’Hotel Continental sul lungomare. I sommelier dell’Ais, Associazione italiana sommelier, e spesso gli stessi vignaioli, accompagnano e raccontano i vini nei luoghi della manifestazione. Sono circa 100 le cantine presenti. Il buon vino si fa occasione di incontro, socialità, narrazione e scoperta della città.
Il 24 maggio mattina Wine&Thecity entra nella Chiesa di Santa Maria della Vita, nel Rione Sanità, sede del centro La Tenda, l’Associazione fondata nel 1981 da Padre Antonio Vitiello. Un’occasione per scoprire il complesso di 2000 mq, noto come Ospedale San Camillo, con la Chiesa cinquecentesca e il Chiostro con giardino. Qui le attività del Centro occupano decine di volontari nella assistenza a circa 150 senza fissa dimora e a ragazzi e famiglie del Rione.
Serata finale al Lago d’Averno nei Campi Flegrei. Appuntamento al tramonto per una serata tra mito, archeologia, gusto e tanta natura. Si comincia con la passeggiata archeologica alla scoperta del cosiddetto “Tempio di Apollo”, uno dei numerosi impianti edificati dai Romani nei Campi Flegrei per sfruttare le sorgenti di calore naturale.
Si continua a tavola, tra i filari di piedirosso e falanghina dell’azienda vinicola Cantine dell’Averno: un allestimento in esclusiva per Wine&Thecity, con una decina di tavoli tra le vigne, piedi nella terra, sguardo sul lago, il tetto nel cielo.

Wine&Thecity/ Naples among the wine roads, from Chiaia to the Sanità district. The sense of myth with a final evening on Lake Averno (May the 20th to 24th)
A widespread festival to celebrate the drink of the gods. From May the 20th to the 24th, the 17th edition of Wine&Thecity returns to Naples, with wine – from about 100 wineries from different regions of Italy – and the city as the protagonists of the project that connects small and large urban realities, businesses and cultural themes under the banner of creative intoxication, the event’s reward.
On Tuesday, May the 20th, the former Ravaschieri Hospital on the Riviera di Chiaia will host the inaugural evening of beauty, music and social commitment: wines from the Consorzio Tutela Vini Vesuvio will accompany the gastronomic itinerary curated by Alba Catering, with mozzarella pearls and prosciutto from Ciro Amodio 1825 and bread and pastries from Moccia Bakery.
The guest chef for this edition is Gianluca D’Agostino from the Joca restaurant, and the sweet finale, curated by Mulino Caputo, features creations from the Pesce pastry shop in Avella. At the console Dj Cerchietto.
Commissioned by Duchess Teresa Fieschi Ravaschieri in memory of her daughter Lina and inaugurated in 1880, the Ravaschieri, located in Via Croce Rossa, was the first pediatric surgical hospital in Italy and is now home to the Santobono-Pausilipon Foundation, to which the proceeds of the evening will be donated ( 50 euros to attend).
From May the 21st to the 24th, Wine&Thecity continues with a series of events spread throughout the city in private spaces, including historic palaces and courtyards, gardens and boutiques, hotels and urban itineraries.
On May the 22nd, Wine&Thecity brings glasses, wines and sommeliers to the streets of Chiaia. One day, one neighborhood in celebration is the motto of this event, which brings together independent boutiques, historical signs and small ateliers, bistros, restaurants and design showrooms. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the windows and spaces will come alive with DJ sets, performances, fashion collections, aperitifs and tastings, and show cooking.
On May the 21st, stop off at the Essencia bistro restaurant in Piazza Santa Maria La Nova, and on May the 23rd on the rooftop of the Grand Hotel Oriente and at the Hotel Continental on the waterfront. Sommeliers from Ais, the Italian Association of Sommeliers, and often the winemakers themselves, accompany and explain the wines at the venues. About 100 wineries will be present. Good wine becomes an opportunity to meet, socialize, tell stories and discover the city.
On the morning of May 24th, Wine&Thecity will enter the Church of Santa Maria della Vita, in the Rione Sanità, home of La Tenda, the association founded in 1981 by Father Antonio Vitiello. An opportunity to discover the 2,000 square meter complex known as San Camillo Hospital, with its 16th century church and cloister with garden. Here the activities of the Center occupy dozens of volunteers who help about 150 homeless, young people and families in the district.
Last evening at Lake Avernus in the Campi Flegrei. Rendezvous at sunset for an evening of myth, archaeology, taste and nature. It begins with an archaeological walk to discover the so-called “Temple of Apollo”, one of the many structures built by the Romans in the Phlegraean Fields to take advantage of the natural hot springs.
It continues at the table, among the lines of Piedirosso and Falanghina vines of the Cantine dell’Averno: a setting exclusively for Wine&Thecity, with about a dozen tables among the vines, feet in the earth, eyes on the lake, roof in the sky.
