Carolyn Carlson torna a Napoli dopo 15 anni.

Former Pirelli/Danza factory: Carolyn Carlson returns to Naples after 15 years: a masterclass and a meet-the-public session. Movement as a poetic gesture
Carolyn Carlson returns to Naples after 15 years. She will be the undisputed star of the dance world until tomorrow, Saturday 10 October, for an advanced masterclass at the Centre for the Performing Arts (the former Pirelli Factory in Via Galileo Ferraris).
Joining Carlson will be her assistant, Sara Orselli, who now safeguards her choreographic language and who has, in turn, developed a desire to pass it on, leading her own courses and workshops during tours
On the afternoon of Saturday the 10th of October, the masterclass will conclude with an event open to the public: an Open Studio featuring a presentation of the work carried out in the studio, accompanied by music by Marco Vitale, at 3.30 pm, followed by a talk in which the international choreographer will be in conversation with Raffaella Tramontano, journalist and editor-in-chief of Campadidanza Dance Magazine.
Carlson has become a creator and teacher, passing on her vision of movement as a poetic gesture to several generations of dancers around the world, particularly in France, Italy and Finland. This passion for teaching led her to found and direct, from 1999 to 2002, a dance school in Venice, the Accademia Isola Danza. Also in 1999, she founded the Atelier de Paris, an international training centre where the greatest masters of dance share their knowledge.
HSS – Centre for the Performing Arts is a project that came to life at the start of this year, arising from the regeneration of a space of approximately 1,200 square metres in an industrial building on Via Galileo Ferraris – the ‘former Pirelli factory’ – which has been transformed into a centre entirely dedicated to the performing arts and serving the local arts, culture and creative industries.
The idea comes from two young people, Sara and Igino Foglia, who are passionate about dance and music respectively: the challenge is to create a multifunctional, modern and flexible space, available to professionals, dancers, artists, actors, and Italian and international professionals working in the arts and culture sector.
